    Job Summary:

    Key Responsibilities

    • Greets patients in a polite, prompt, and helpful manner. Provides a necessary explanation of the x-rays to be performed.

    • Prepares patients for procedures by reviewing medical history, draping, and positioning the patient, preparing procedural/testing sites, and administering contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.

    • Assists the physician with performing diagnostic and therapeutic interventional procedures. Supports/assists related imaging procedures. Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues.

    • Inform patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding. Seeks assistance related to patient condition changes in status.

    • Prepares equipment and supplies. Select appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Apply radiation safety standards and report equipment malfunctions.

    • Within the scope of the job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

    Qualifications:

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Registration from the American Registry for Radiologic Technologists (AART).

    • Graduate of an accredited Radiology Program.

    • Two (2) years of experience with interventional procedures.

    Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Radiation technology experience.

    Conditions of Employment:

    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross healthcare provider-level CPR certification.

    • Maintains all required licensure and certifications for the position.

    • Must be able to work in person.

    • Must be able to travel to alternate locations as assigned.
