  • Description Are you an experienced Payroll Specialist with 3+ years of experience? Our client located in Hamburg, MI, is looking for a Payroll Specialist. This role is hybrid with 3 days a week in office. This is a terrific opportunity for someone with experience in multistate and ADP experience. Pay up to $28/hr.

    The ideal candidate will possess

    • The ability to process multistate payroll for approx 400 employees for their work sites.

    • Knowledge of payroll policies, procedures, tax requirements and other payroll deduction guidelines including garnishments.

    • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively and use email constructively.

    • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to develop and follow processes.

    • The ability to resolve problems and improve processes.

    • A high degree of accuracy and thoroughness and the ability to monitor own work to ensure quality.

    Only apply if you meet the following qualifications for the Payroll Specialist

    • Minimum 3 years payroll processing experience.

    • Strong computer with ADP being highly preferred.

    • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

    • Self-starter with promotability.

    • Experience working with PTO policies, and payroll applications with a timeclock interface.

    • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred and helpful but not required. Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role.

    • Proficient in multi-state payroll processes.

    • Demonstrated ability to process payroll effectively and accurately.

    • Experience in handling payroll garnishments is essential.

    • Strong understanding of payroll taxes and related regulations.

    • Familiarity with ADP payroll systems is required.

    • Ability to handle manual processes related to payroll.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

    • Strong numerical aptitude and data entry skills.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

    • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

    • Familiarity with federal, state, and local laws related to payroll processing.
