PE Structural Engineer

Job Description

Insight Global is assisting a client with identifying a Structural Engineer for a growing a startup in the construction industry in Gillette, WY. This company is executing on construction projects from design to build and these customers are in various industries. These industries range from commercial to residential with projects involving but not limited to warehouses, fitness facilities, greenhouses, homes, and medical complexes. This Engineer will focus on designing all steel structural plans for these new builds by owning the complete process from a structure and prefab standpoint. They will work closely with Architects, Civil Engineers, MEP Engineers, and construction teams to execute upon these customized projects. As of now, most of these projects is expanding specialty medical facilities and will move into local projects in Wyoming. Below is details on additional responsibilities.

* Prepare reports, designs, and drawings.

* Make calculations about pressures, loads, and stresses.

* Consider the strength of construction materials and select appropriately.

* Provide technical advice on safe designs and construction.

* Obtain planning and/or building regulations approval.

* Analyze configurations of the basic components of a structure.

* Liaise with professional staff such as architects and engineers.

* Monitor and inspect all work undertaken by contractors to ensure structural soundness.

* Administer contracts and manage projects.

* Inspect properties to evaluate the conditions and foundations.

* Use computer-aided design technology for simulation purposes.

Skills and Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in engineering

* Professional Engineer license (or close to receiving)

* 5+ years' experience engineering steel structures

* Strong AutoCAD design

* Advanced knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations. * Hospital or medical construction knowledge null
