    Faculty job description

    The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Rochester is recruiting a new Chief of the Division of Endocrinology. We seek an individual with an MD or MD/Ph.D. and a track record of excellence in research, teaching, and mentoring of faculty to lead all division activities. The applicant should be clinically active with board certification/board eligibility in Pediatric Endocrinology. The division chief will lead a diverse faculty group of four other Pediatric Endocrinologists and three NPs that provides inpatient services for the Golisano Children's Hospital and outpatient services for an area of approximately one million persons.

    The Department of Pediatrics is consistently in the top 20 pediatric departments nationwide in NIH-funded research. The Department has strong ongoing programs in basic and translational research and has a long tradition of clinical service, medical student and resident education, and community-based advocacy. Golisano Children's Hospital employs more than 200 pediatric specialists serving more than 85,000 children and their families each year. It serves as the referral center for all seriously ill or injured children from the 17-county Finger Lakes region and beyond. The current 148-bed children's hospital opened in 2015 and included a 68-bed NICU, a 22-bed PICU, and a 16-bed Cardiothoracic ICU in addition to regular inpatient units. The University of Rochester is a leading academic medical research center supported by a Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) from the NIH.     Pay Range

    Pay Range: $255,000 - $315,000 Annually

    The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum annual salary for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job's salary range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations. Incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
