JOB SUMMARY

Job Profile Summary

The Pipeline Integrity team is seeking a motivated individual to execute risk reduction projects and play a key role in program development within the Pipeline Integrity Engineering team. The Pipeline Integrity Engineer will be responsible for managing various pipeline projects including pipeline relocations, Emergency Flow Restrictive Device (EFRD) installations, outside forces mitigations, pipeline hydraulic surge mitigations, etc. The Pipeline Integrity Engineer will also play an important role in the continued development of Pipeline Integrity programs and processes.

Responsibilities:

• Execution of various risk reduction projects as recommended through hydraulic surge analysis and DOT Part 195 Integrity Management risk analysis

• Execution of pipeline relocations and horizontal directional drills (HDDs) due to encroachments

• Planning and execution of geohazard projects including bank and in-stream stabilizations, HDDs, ground movement stabilization, etc.

• Maintenance and forecasting of annual assigned program budgets, allocate funds accordingly, and work to ensure the program operates within plan

• Continued Plan-Do-Check-Act development of the Pipeline Integrity program

• Work with consultants and engineering firms on special projects, development, engineering designs, etc.

• Travel during critical project execution steps and represent Magellan in outside interactions such as during government meetings, inspections and project bid meetings or land owner conversations

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or closely related field

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of: pipelines or hydrocarbon processing and related facilities design, construction, operation, and maintenance

• Knowledge of: material failure and structural analysis and industry standards and governmental regulations

• Ability to: read and interpret governmental regulations, blueprints, contracts, manuals, specifications, surveys, charts, load studies, and other relevant reports and correspondence

• Ability to: analyze and resolve issues and/or questions concerning engineering design and calculations with supervisor assistance as needed on more design and calculations

• Ability to: manage and prioritize multiple assignments with competing deadlines

• Ability to: recommend and implement new initiatives and complete projects

• Ability to: apply math, algebraic formulas, and statistical methods

• Ability to: interact, negotiate and communicate effectively

• Ability to: operate office tools and equipment required

• Ability to: communicate thoughts, ideas, information, messages, and other written information, which may contain technical material, in a logical, organized, and coherent manner

Expected Salary Range

$119,000.00 - $179,000.00
