    General Summary

    Performs plumbing, to include some general maintenance duties and repair of equipment and buildings requiring practical skill and knowledge in such trades as Plumbing and HVAC. With some potential light carpentry repair from plumbing related work, masonry.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Carry out regular maintenance of plumbing systems at commercial

    • Install new plumbing systems

    • Conduct preventive maintenance of previously installed systems

    • Perform necessary repairs to previously installed systems and pipping

    • Keep up to date with current safety regulations for various components of the plumbing systems

    • With Continuing Education (CE) be up to date with plumbing practices

    • Work within the Regulations of International Uniform Plumbing Code

    • Communicate well with management to aid management with facilitating work progression

    • Write detailed work order of all repairs and PMs conducted

    • Repairs or replaces sinks, water coolers, ice machines and toilets.

    • Replaces damaged paneling and floor tiles.

    • Performs general maintenance on equipment and machinery as required.

    • Ability to respond to emergency calls as needed, to include nights and weekends.

    • Any other duties as assigned.

    Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements

    • License or certificate required, or able to obtain with one to two years from hire date determined by management

    • GED or High School Graduate

    • Would like two years' experience with plumbing industry

    • Ability to drive Company vehicles to out buildings

    • Experience working in an outdoor or indoor building environment

    • General knowledge of plumbing fixtures and ability to comprehend blueprints and drawings.

    • Able to understand verbal or written direction from lead, supervisor or other craftsmen

    Work Environment

    • Must be able to lift 50 lbs., squat, bend, stoop and kneel for short periods, climb a ladder, stand for long periods of time, constant arm extensions.

    • Occasional exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, but none to the point of being disagreeable. May involve minor safety hazards where likely result would be cuts, bruises, etc.
