Duties:

• Reviewing and analyzing federal and state tax laws

• Drafting and reviewing Maine statutes, regulations, and official material (e.g., tax forms, instructions, and guidance)

• Collaborating on group projects with different Divisions

• Communicating complex concepts to different audiences

• Attending agency meetings to discuss various tax policy matters

• Providing support for various administrative functions

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university

• Strong analytical, research, and writing skills

• Ability to clearly and effectively communicate to various audiences

• Ability to work independently and as part of a fast-paced team

• Competence with Microsoft applications (e.g., Word, Excel, and Outlook)

• Familiarity with basic tax, accounting, finance, or economic concepts

• Interest in public service and career growth
