    KBR's Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) group is looking for a Power Plant SME to support the multi-billion-dollar Plaquemines project developing a Liquid Natural Gas export facility when fully developed will have an export capacity of up to 20 million metric tonnes per year. The facility's location is about 20 miles south of New Orleans. This project is expected to be a multi-phase project spanning two years.

    Aligning with KBR's commitment to sustainability, the 630-acre site located on the Mississippi River provides deep-water access without the need for dredging, allowing for an expedited environmentally friendly development process.

    This position is contingent upon having a current/valid TWIC card or having the ability to renew or obtain a TWIC card. The TWIC card must be kept current and maintained through employment.

    The Power Plant SME will develop Commissioning, Start-up, and Operations (CSO) technical documentation on LNG project, including Commissioning, Start-up, Operations and Maintenance manuals and procedures. This role will report to the Senior CSO Manager and will start in the home office in Houston, TX with potential to mobilize to Plaquemine site In Port Sulphur, LA.

    Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident

    Responsibilities:

    • Generate PC&CSO Procedures, Operations Procedures and Systemization of the PIDs

    • Develop documents to meet project schedule requirements

    • Proactively collect data from engineering, suppliers, and relevant industry sources as input to CSO documents

    • Responsible for document completion schedules

    • Prepare status reports as required

    • Be an active participant in the Operability, Maintainability, and Model Reviews of the LNG Complex

    • Active involvement in the HAZOP and Technical Reviews of the LNG Complex as required

    Experience & Skills:

    • Strong proficiency in LNG facilities

    • Proven ability with commissioning, startup, and operations (CSO) procedures development

    • Power Plant CSO experience

    • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

    • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

    • Excellent organizational skills and an ability to prioritize conflicting demands

    Additional Qualifications

    • In lieu of formal education 18 + years of relevant field experience

    • Or bachelor's degree in engineering, process, or related field & 10 + years of relevant field experience with average experience of 15 + years

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Good knowledge and proficiency in using different types of computer systems and software, especially Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat

    • Systemization experience

    • Knowledge of the LNG facilities process
