Job Title: PPM Construction Trades Worker, 8.4 Full Time-Regular-Ongoing (Lakeland, FL)

Job Summary:

MOR PPM, Inc. seeks a Construction Trades Worker. Performance of skilled painting tasks in the application of paint to a variety of surfaces with brush or spray gun. Occasionally, work may require the performance of hazardous duties from scaffolding, using ladders and operate a high-powered pressure washer. Experience with basic construction hand tools is a requirement. Work is performed independently and is subject to inspection by a supervisor during progress and upon completion.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Applies paints, paints metal, structural steel and sprays tanks

• Prepares surfaces to be painted; uses pressure cleaner

• Mixes and marches paint and stains using proper proportion of pigment, base and thinner.

• Maintains tools and equipment in proper and safe working order

• May be required to work overtime, or alternate hours, as necessary for the efficient operation of the department.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Knowledge of the applicable work safety rules and procedures.

• Skill in the use of construction trade tools and equipment.

• Ability to safely operate power hand tools, light equipment and trucks.

• Ability to read and interpret simple sketches and construction drawings.

• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with subordinates, supervisors and the public.

• Ability to perform manual, semi-skilled and skilled tasks.

Physical Requirements/Job Site Requirements:

• Must be able to complete hiring paperwork electronically through DocuSign

• May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds

• Must posses enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified above

• Must be able to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areas

• Must have full range of motion consistent with age

• Must be able to climb and maintain balance ladders

• Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms and other job-related noises

• Visual acuity, depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfaces

• Safety/Steel toe shoes are required.
