Pre-Apprentice Service Technician

We are a family-oriented Midwest and East coast based company; with locations in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. As a result of our growth, we have a need for a Pre-Apprentice Service Technician with the drive to learn and become a successful member of our Service Team. Crane offers on-the-job training, and opportunity for further education / apprenticeship program.

Crane Engineering is a pre-eminent distributor of pumps, valves, filters, and other fluid handling solutions to a broad range of industries.

What You Get To Do

· Assist with precision overhauls of pumps, valves, agitators, and other rotating equipment in house and at customer site

· Perform inspection, cleaning, painting and final preparation of equipment rebuild projects

· Maintain organization of job staging areas

· Maintain organization of incoming parts and equipment

· Maintain and perform preventative maintenance on service equipment and tools

· Assist and learn from Service Technicians. Develop new skills related to precision repair and overhaul of rotating equipment through on the job training and formal training

Requirements:

What We Need From You

· High School Diploma or equivalent required.

· Background in automotive, construction and/or mechanical contracting a plus.

· Comfortable using and learning new computer systems and software.

· Willingness to learn.

· Ability to handle a varied and fast-paced workload.

· A valid driver's license.

· Effectively handle lifting of various objects weighing up to 60 pounds.

Full-time position; day shift; Monday – Friday, working out of our Kimberly, WI Service Center.
