    Job Summary:

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage the operational needs of the division's research programs.

    • Manage pre-award grant support activities.

    • Develop proposal budgets and routes documents in partnership with Principal Investigators.

    • Prepare sponsor and institutional forms prior to submission deadlines, including assurance numbers, internal and external budgets, F&A calculations, compliance documentation, sub-recipient agreements for subcontracts, scope of work documents, and budget justifications.

    • Manage post-award grant support activities.

    • Analyze and evaluates awarded proposals and contracts, which may include subcontracts, for compliance with funding agency, federal, state, and university requirements.

    • Work collaboratively with the Office of Grants and Contracts (OGC) and the setup team to ensure the award setup accurately reflects the terms and conditions of the award as well as anticipated spending.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Senior Level:

    • A bachelor's degree in public health, public administration, social/behavioral sciences, physical sciences, nursing, healthcare, finance, accounting, research, communications, marketing, business administration, business, or other closely related field.

    • A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.

    • Two (2) years of professional level experience in sponsored project administration.

    Principal Level:

    • A bachelor's degree in public health, public administration, social/behavioral sciences, physical sciences, nursing, healthcare, finance, accounting, research, communications, marketing, business administration, business, or other closely related field.

    • A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.

    • Three (3) years of professional level experience in sponsored project administration.

    Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience working in a healthcare environment.

    • Three (3) years of grant experience at an institution of higher learning.

    • Experience with University of Colorado finance systems (i.e., Concur, Marketplace).

    • Clinical, laboratory, or research experience.

    • Contracts experience.

    • Program and/or project management experience.
