Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate precision grinding machines, including Jig, Surface, and OD grinders, according to specifications and job requirements.

• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine grinding specifications and procedures.

• Select and install appropriate grinding wheels, attachments, and fixtures based on workpiece materials and specifications.

• Perform precision grinding operations to achieve tight tolerances, smooth finishes, and accurate dimensions.

• Inspect and measure finished components using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.

• Monitor machine performance, making necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards and efficiency.

• Collaborate with other team members, including machinists and engineers, to ensure seamless workflow and adherence to project timelines.

• Conduct routine maintenance on grinding equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

• Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

• Document and record grinding parameters, adjustments, and inspection results for quality control purposes.
