The product manager will collaborate with Product Owners (from the business) or project champions to ensure the technical roadmap of the product aligns to business outcomes.

This is a technical role; hence it is expected the Product Manager continuously invests in learning and stays on par with the latest in Data, Analytics, and Data Science approaches, solutions, frameworks, technology offerings, and best practices. The Product Manager will work under minimal supervision on one or several solutions/teams as needed from the KOHLER Data Platform Portfolio, for which it needs to:

    Specific Responsibilities

    • Lead Discovery and facilitate design sessions with users, stakeholders, and executives to understand the most critical business problems to solve (WHAT), understand the user/customer (WHO), and the impact the problems are having in business (WHY); and gain stakeholder alignment on being focused on the right problem.

    • Spearhead 'modelstorming' sessions - mapping business events to the facts and dimensions used to interrogate such process.

    • Work with other Product Managers, Senior Product Managers, and IT Managers to define an end-to-end Product Strategy, which includes but it is not limited to the Product Lifecycle (definition, ideation, development, maturity, phase out), how Product Usage and Adoption will be measured, how ROI (Return on Investment) will be realized, and how customer satisfaction will be assessed during the life of the product/feature.

    • Drive change management across diverse functional areas when introducing data solutions that will affect the way individuals work; and get users' commitment to adopt new solutions and to change their business processes if needed.

    • Create and maintain a year-long rolling Product Roadmap that outlines product delivery plans including milestones, and tentative release dates.

    • Actively work on defining the technical solution for the business problem in collaboration with the Architect/Lead Developer, including test plan, warranty period and support plan, and engagements with Data Governance.

    • Prototype, Pilot, and Release solutions in an agile fashion to rapidly deliver business value.

    • Manage cross-functional communication with stakeholders, SMEs, and IT Data and Analytics Leaders on Product Roadmap updates, releases, support/production issues, and decisions that impact several business and technology areas of the company.

    • Intake, investigate, and prioritize support issues for the Product during the warranty period.

The Product Manager effectively conveys the product strategy to technical and non-technical audiences and aligns technology solutions/capabilities to business problems and processes.

The Product Manager collaborates with the Product Owner and the Development Team on breaking down business problems into valuable features that can be developed by the team and released incrementally.
