  • We are seeking a strategic thinker with a highly collaborative mindset to join our high performing Product & Segments finance team. Our team provides a strategic partnership to the cross-functional Product and Segment teams to provide financial rigor around planning for growth, reporting performance and developing enhanced profitability analysis.

    As a Vice President in Product Profitability, you will act as the lead finance representative for Core Deposit Products in Consumer Bank and primary support for the Managing Director (MD) in the business leading Cash Flow Management & Deposit Services. You will face off with multiple senior leaders and report into the Product & Segments Executive Director (ED). Work product includes developing and maintaining product and service profits & losses, creation of product and feature specific management reporting, support for target setting and monitoring, profitability analysis, business case development, and dashboarding key metrics.

    Job responsibilities

    • Act as primary finance point of contact and support for Core Deposit team leading Cash Flow Management, Fees and Services

    • Lead a team of analytical-minded individuals

    • Build and maintain key stakeholder relationships across the business

    • Provide financial analysis and data driven support to influence decisions and drive strategic vision

    • Drive business case development through ideation, sensitivity analysis, and providing financial rigor on assumptions and inputs

    • Understand key drivers and implications of product and customer profitability

    • Enhance profit & loss reporting and analysis for core deposit products including month-end and budget

    • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to gain understanding of trends and forecasts to support target setting and key metric reporting / monitoring

    • Leverage data for creation of insightful management reporting and communications for the business

    • Prepare and maintain ad hoc analytics / profitability analysis

    Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics or related field

    • 7+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis or modeling experience

    • Thorough understanding of profitability drivers and analysis, valuation frameworks, and discounted cash flow modeling

    • Ability to leverage data to drive thorough analysis for insightful results to influence decisions

    • Experience creating and presenting senior executive level communications

    • Highly productive with a keen attention to detail and ability to multi-task effectively

    • Strong technical ability with advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint)

    Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

    • MBA preferred

    • Experience in analytical tools like Tableau and Alteryx

    • Knowledge of Hyperion Essbase and SAP helpful, but not required

    • Knowledge of automation tool (e.g. VBA) helpful, but not required

    Necessary soft skills

    • Excellent communication skills with client focus and ability to concisely articulate key insights and recommendations

    • Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships and work effectively with a variety of individuals and business partners

    • Self-starter with a steady curiosity and ability to work independently and as a team in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment

    • Organized problem solver with a collaborative mindset and strong critical thinking skills

    Candidates must be able to physically work in our Polaris/Columbus, OH office 3 days a week and remotely from home 2 days per week. The specific schedule will be determined and communicated by direct management.
