  • The University of Virginia School of Law seeks candidates for a small number of tenure-line (entry-level, full, or visiting) faculty positions beginning in August 2024. These new faculty members will join a vibrant scholarly community in the School of Law, which takes pride in its collegial and supportive environment.

    Entry-level candidates are strongly encouraged to register with the AALS Faculty Appointments Register (FAR) (~~~/) . Please check with the AALS regarding their registration deadlines.

    The positions will remain open to applications until filled.

    J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school or foreign equivalent degree strongly preferred. In exceptional cases, a terminal degree in the applicant's field (e.g., a Ph.D.) will be considered. Rank and compensation subject to individual qualifications and experience. Distinguished academic and professional background and superior scholarly record expected. Curriculum needs varied.
