  • Title: Program Manager, Student Character Builder

    Location: Sedalia, Missouri and/or Remote Position

    This role is responsible for developing the Student Character Builder program beyond its current state. This includes identifying and developing additional traits, educational content, integration with other K-8 brands, etc. Serves as Subject Matter Expert for all areas of the program internally and externally. Owns the operational execution of the program to ensure an excellent customer experience.

    The incumbent works with the direction and guidance of the General Manager of Smallbook (elementary yearbooks) to manage and complete all activities and deliverables for assigned projects, at times through coordination of cross functional teams.

    Program Development

    • Assist in assessing needs of the schools and create content as required. This includes additional traits, educational resources, etc

    • Expand the program to keep it fresh and vital for the schools. This includes improving existing materials and integrating with other K-8 brands.

    • Identify ways to market to schools to grow the number of accounts using the program. Assist with implementation as necessary.

    • Assess engagement and recommend/implement strategies to improve.

    • Train reps to ensure they are current on program updates and expansions.

    Subject Matter Expert

    • Serve as primary point of contact for all internal needs. This is to include rep, marketing and operational needs and questions.

    • Serve as primary point of contact for all external questions. This includes school resources and Specialty Organizations (ex NAESP)

    • Conduct outreach sessions as necessary to further knowledge of the program and its benefits. This may include training sessions, webinars, written materials and speaking engagements.

    Operational Ownership

    • Provide regular updates/tracking on program usage.

    • Update templates on customer sites.

    • Assist in development and management of peer sharing platform

    • Assist in verifying sign ups.

    • Develop content/materials to support the program as necessary.

    • Review site and suggest updates as necessary.

    Required Degree/Skills

    • BA/BS in Education or related field

    • 5+ years as an educator and/or education administration

    • 5+ years experience in curriculum development

    • 5+ years experience in project management

    • Understanding of new product, process and / or business development

    • MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and basic MS Project skills

    • Analytical and project coordination skills

    • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills

    • Strong interpersonal skills

    • Strong process orientation and meeting management skills

    • Flexible approach to developing solutions for stated challenges/opportunities

    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

    • Ability to work across multiple levels of the organization

    • Positive attitude that supports others to drive for success
