    AECOM is hiring a Project Architect for our New York Metro Buildings + Places practice that has experience working on PreK-12 (NYC SCA) and Higher-Ed projects. AECOM's Buildings + Places business line is dedicated to design excellence and an integrated approach to creative problem-solving.     This individual will collaborate closely with Senior Project Manager on a daily basis; will be managing for our client project delivery - from initial design stages to the final project close-out, including kick-off meeting, scope reports, design documents, construction administration, and project close-out.

    Responsibilities:

    • Working with the Senior Project Manager and Studio Leader on project design, project schedule, work plan and project budget for an assigned project.

    • Ensure that BCC / DOB / FDNY filing is streamlined and done in a timely manner. Attend filing meetings and QA/QC meetings.

    • Manage various trades for specific project (mechanical, plumbing, electrical, structural, etc.) in-house or separate non-AECOM sub-consultants.

    • Manages various project, involving a combination of the following:

    • Clients with a regional geographic footprint (NY and NJ);

    • Projects involving multiple services provided by regional IE offices;

    • Manage all phases of projects (from beginning to close out).

    • Works mostly independently, but receives instruction on specific assignments, objectives, complex features and possible solutions.

    • Receives technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and supervisory approval on proposed plans for projects.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelor of Architecture

    • Two (2) years of Architecture and Project Management experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

    • Two (2) years of Revit experience

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Masters of Architecture plus four (4) years of Architecture and Project Management experience

    • Experience working on PreK-12 (NYC SCA) and Higher-Ed (NY / NJ Universities) projects

    • Licensed architect a plus
