Project Engineer

Description

Looking for an entry level Project Engineer. This position is on site 12 days on, 2 off in Blythewood, SC.

Job duties include assisting and reporting to the Project manager, administrative tasks, blue print reading, cost control, quantity control, and subcontractor communication. The project completion is at least a year out, with more projects to follow for long term growth.

Position Description

The Project Engineer should have a strong desire to learn from the Project Manager and be able to successfully execute specific subtasks of project management. As a Project Engineer you will support the Project Manager and project management team as needed to ensure successful execution of projects with the client and various subcontractors.

• Review shop drawings and submittals to ensure compliance with construction documents.

• Monitor the delivery of needed materials for projects, ensuring timely deliveries and appropriate billing

• Review and track project invoices to ensure the appropriate billings and manage material needs

• Maintain job files to ensure continuity of workflow

• Review, distribute, and track RFI's

• Work within a fast-paced environment

• Be an independent self-starter who will be backed by a highly supportive culture and team atmosphere

• Be prepared to travel throughout the southeast

Position Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering,

• 0 to 3 years of experience in sitework construction projects: erosion control, excavation, or utility installation.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Microsoft Office Suite Proficiency
