Project Manager II / Project Manager III

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks an experienced Project Manager who is solution-oriented and customer focused to join our organization. You will be part of a team working with engineers, designers, buyers, and production personnel to lead projects creating custom electric control systems from project award to shipment of solutions. This customer-facing role requires the ability to lead multiple projects within various stages of the project life cycle while managing scope, schedule, and budget. As a Project Manager, a typical day might include the following:

• Meeting with customers about their new custom electric control system solution and outlining project details such as cost, timeline, and deliverables.

• Reviewing project readiness with our team of engineers, designers, and buyers, ensuring we are ready to build product.

• Checking in with our Pullman and Charlotte factory leaders on the progress of builds you're managing.

• Closing out/reviewing project successes to better our internal processes, customer experience, and product quality.

• Seeking areas to take ownership of and drive improvements that lead to better outcomes for our customers.

This job might be for you if:

• You hold a bachelor's degree in a related field or have equivalent experience.

• You have four years (Project Manager II) or eight years (Project Manager III) of direct experience coordinating projects.

• You are detail-oriented, customer-focused, and have a high level of coordination, organization, and prioritization skills.

• Experience and knowledge of project management skills, techniques, and terminology.

• Ability to manage project problems requiring creativity and ingenuity.

• Enjoy solving complex problems and can adapt well to change.

• You enjoy working with people from different backgrounds and disciplines.

• You are interested in growing your career through challenging work.

• You would like to help make electric power safer, more reliable, and more economical.

Pay Range Data

Project Manager II $58,100 - $90,900. Project Manager III $66,800 - $104,600. Our salary ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
