  • Seeking an entry level candidate to work in QA/QC doing basic lab testing. The candidate will work in three areas after pulling samples from the plant floor:

    1.) In-process testing running acid/salt tests and taste testing

    2.) pH/Viscosity testing and titrations

    3.) Packaging/QA checking labels and code dates, checking bottles for cracks, leaks and weighing them and doing all documentation.

    Responsibilities

    • Collect and test samples of ingredients, products or packages according to established procedures

    • Monitor processes to ensure they are operating correctly and consistently

    • Document all results neatly and precisely

    • Label and maintain product retention samples used to monitor the product throughout the established shelf life

    • Organize collected data for management review

    • Maintain lab equipment in a clean and orderly fashion

    • Communicate non-compliant results immediately to management

    • Monitor plant for compliance to GMP's

    • Accurately weigh ingredients, colors, flavorings and seasonings

    • Test R&D samples for food safety & specification development

    • Conduct other duties, as assigned by the plant QA Supervisor or QA Manager.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications:

    • Must: Bachelor's Degree in Science.

    • Strongly prefer someone who has a food industry background .

    • Need to be comfortable working in a manufacturing and lab environment.
