Job Summary and Qualifications

Seeking a Clinical Coordinator Quality-Nurse Practitioner who will conduct a comprehensive concurrent review of clinical documentation within the medical record to achieve accurate and detailed documentation. The CQI Specialist will use provider documentation for clinically indicated conditions or procedures to support appropriate assignment of severity of illness, expected risk of mortality, intensity of service and resource consumption.

What You Will Do In This Role:

• You will perform initial concurrent review of assigned population consistent with Facility, Division, or Corporate program volume and frequency requirements.

• You will ensure the appropriate documentation of the principal diagnosis, complications or co-morbid conditions and/or valid OR procedures, including the capture of POA indicators.

• You will document review and other pertinent information in designated systems by established deadlines.

• You will collaborate with the Division CDI Coordinator and Parallon HSC to assure accurate DRG assignment and billing.

What qualifications you will need:

• Registered Nurse

• Bachelors Degree

• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or CPR must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

• Advance Nurse Practitioner, or Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)
