Quality Control Technician

Description:

Responsibilities include

• Responsible for overall quality of products... correctly produced, appearance, structural integrity, cosmetic patching

• Assure material compliance

• Inspect loaded trucks for cosmetic damage and assuring proper repairs are made

• Evaluate forms/ molds to ensure proper dimensions

• Perform pre-pour and post-pour inspections to assure correct production

• Assure proper marking applied

• Assure repairs performed in accordance to requirements

• Monitor automated moisture probe results of aggregate - calibrate as needed

• Perform necessary cylinder strength tests

• Perform required absorption tests

• Perform periodic sieve tests on aggregates to verify quarry reports

• Maintain proper documentation of concrete testing (strength of cylinders, slump and/or flow, air content, and concrete temperatures)

• Assure the proper mix designs are utilized for the appropriate products

• Assure all lab and batching scales and analytical equipment are calibrated in accordance with the schedule in Section 5.5.

• Escort Inspectors on all plant visits

• The QC manager has the authority to shut down any operational area in the plant and the responsibility to work with the affected supervisor to correct the discrepancy.

Construction is a plus

Best vs. Average- someone with at least 6 months to a year of manufacturing, concrete, or construction experience. Attendance and willingness to help out around the facility is HUGE. They are willing to train but they need someone who is going to show up everyday and be reliable.
