    Job Description:

    Rad Tech

    • Provide high quality radiographic services to patients of all ages. Assures that imaging is performed in an accurate, safe and timely manner. Delivers exemplary service to patients, families, physicians and co-workers. In addition to the general imaging modalities is responsible for providing examination expertise in at least one of the following modalities CT, Mammography or MRI.

    • Performs and produces high-quality exams on patients of all ages including portable and C-ARM procedures in the OR. Accurately positions body parts, uses appropriate exposures, and collimation. Assures that professional care is provided. Utilizes Meditech to complete all necessary paperwork, edits exams as necessary. Reviews Images in PACS to and follows procedures to prepare a study for interpretation.

    • Ideal candidate is willing to train in mammography.

    • Assists radiologist with exams and with administration of contrast agents to patients of all ages, following department protocol.

    • Helps to supervise Radiologic Technology students.

    Minimum Education

    Must be a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program and specialized training in additional modality(s).

    Required Licenses

    [ Massachusetts, United States ] Radiologic Technologist and Technician

    Massachusetts Radiologic License (R).

    Must have ARRT registration in any second modality (CT, M, Nuclear Med). AHA Heartsaver or BCLS required.
