    $10,000 Sign-On Bonus to eligible new employees joining UW Medicine UW Medical Center - Montlake has an outstanding opportunity for a Part Time Registered Nurse to join our Nephrology Clinic , which is part of the Medical Specialties Center.

    WORK SCHEDULE

    • Part time / 75% FTE

    • 3x10 shift schedule, Wednesday-Friday

    • Day shifts only DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION Our Nephrology Clinic provides outpatient care for those with kidney disease. We support a full spectrum of patients, including patients with acute and chronic kidney diseases, patients requiring hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis, and patients needing post kidney transplant care. This is a great opportunity for RNs who have previous experience in the nephrology field. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Work in collaboration with a team of nephrologists, nurses, program coordinators, and medical assistants

    • Provide care coordination services, including discharge coordination for patients requiring dialysis with local community partners

    • Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment options, and side effect management

    • Provides telephone triage and eCare consultation to patients with problems related to nephrology

    • Manage inbound patient referrals

    • Provide nursing advice in person, via phone, and via telehealth REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

    • 2 years of current or recent medical-surgical or nephrology nursing experience

    • Previous hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis experience

    • Active BLS

    • Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State

    • Able to assess and triage patients with multiple severe comorbidities
