    Job Summary and Qualifications

    The Registered Nurse primary duty is to assist the Radiation Oncologist with patient care. Assesses Oncology patients receiving radiation treatments. Maintains all nursing records for Radiation Oncology Department. Performs other duties as assigned.     • You will administer medications as prescribed by Radiation Oncologist

    • You will assist the Director and Lead Therapist with ongoing quality improvement

    • You will collaborate with the Radiation Oncologist and Radiation Therapists in developing patient plan of care

    • You will complete nursing assessment and treatments prescribed by Radiation Oncologist, with appropriate documentation

    • You will correctly and efficiently complete charting and paperwork

    • You will facilitate and ensure patient/family education is provided

    • You will participate and actively assist in the planning of staff development activities. This includes staff orientation, training and evaluation

    • You will respond appropriately in emergency situations. Has good working knowledge of emergency medications and CPR

    • You are responsible for maintaining an adequate level of supplies and the appearance of all technical areas within the Radiation Oncology Department

    What qualifications you will need:

    • Current California RN license

    • BCLS Certified

    • Graduation from accredited school of nursing for Registered Nurse preparation

    • Two years of experience in a Radiation Oncology Department as a Staff RN
