    3 Central is a 27-bed Acute Care General Medicine unit that receives adult patients from the Emergency Department, Medical ICU, Clinics, Outside Hospitals and Nursing Facilities. Patients range in age from 18 years old to end of life. We see a wide range of medical diagnoses, which include Respiratory illnesses( including pneumonia, COPD, cystic fibrosis, asthma, pulmonary HTN) Diabetes( including DKA, Hyperosmolar state, Hyperglycemia, new diabetics requiring education) , Sickle cell, Cellulitis, Sepsis, and end-stage renal disease.

    • Experience with a wide variety of medical patients and telemetry

    • Free floating charge RN to support you throughout the shift as needed.

    Position Compensation Range: $39.90 - $53.00 Hourly

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.

    Experience: 1 year of relevant experience.

    Licensure: Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently walking, bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
