  • Overview

    REQUIREMENTS ANALYST (NMESIS):

    Bowhead is seeking a Requirements Analyst to support the upcoming Product Manager Engineer, Maintenance, and Support Equipment (PdM) NMESIS Support Services contract located in Stafford, VA. The PdM NMESIS Support Services mission is to equip the Marine Corps with long-range antiship and land attack ground based weapons to enable a naval expeditionary force-in-readiness that is prepared to operate inside actively contested maritime spaces in support of fleet operations.The Requirements Analyst will work closely with the development team, as well as with the client designated users in order to gather and write system requirements for any new programmingThe Requirements Analyst will work with the System Integrator to ensure requirements are interpreted correctly and will review designs and tests based on those specifications. This individual will also identify and define requirements into specifics that describe what the system, process, or product/service must do in order to fulfill the requirements to the level of detail required for implementation by the System Integrator.

    Responsibilities

    Essential functions will include

    • Gather, analyze, document and validate stakeholder needs while ensuring that the documented requirements satisfy customer needs and are clear, complete, accurate, feasible, and verifiable.

    • Translate needs into actionable business requirements which shall capture the organization's objectives and the ultimate vision of what the system will be and do (i.e. quality measures, performance goals, business rules, external interfaces and constraints).

    • Prepare and deliver requirements in the form of a Business Requirements Document (BRD), including explicit and derived functional requirements captured during requirements elicitation sessions.

    • Analyze requirements to identify any implicit or derived requirements that are a logical consequence of the customers' requests.

    • Ensure traceability through each stage of the requirements gathering process, from identified capability needs, to business requirements, to functional requirements, and test cases

    Qualifications

    • BA/BS and eight (8+) or more years of relevant experience. Five or more (+5) additional years combination of education, professional training, or relevant work experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.

    • Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint

    • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts

    • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team

    Physical Demands

    • Must be able to lift up to 10-25 pounds

    • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time

    • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

    SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
