Responsibilities

A Research Fellow position is now available with Dr. Charles Howe (~~~) in Neurology. The Research Fellow chosen for this position will work on the fundamental molecular and cell biological approaches to developing novel therapeutics for neurology diseases. Applicants should have a strong background in laboratory science. Work in Neurological research is a plus.

The research activities of this position are to develop:

1. An expertise in extracellular vesicle and MiRNA biology

2. Expertise in therapeutic applications of miRNA with the context of multiple sclerosis and seizure disorders

3. Expertise in biotherapeutic production and testing

The successful candidate is expected to:

1. Write one first authored manuscript

2. Write one co-authored manuscript

3. Contribute to at least one extramural grant application

4. Contribute to ongoing intellectual property development

5. Develop a skill set that will allow the fellow to be competitive for next steps in their career growth
