    Job Description

    As a Team Leader, the employee will provide supervisory, administrative and communication support to staff assigned.

    Essential Job Functions:

    • TheTeamLeaderisexpectedtofunctionasamemberoftheteamwithregardtoroutineassignmentswhilealsoperforming specialassignmentsandotherdutiesasrequested.

    • Possessesabilitytoperformanytaskwithinteam.

    • TheTeamLeadersisresponsibleforactingasaresourceforinformationtoallteammembersaswellasinquiresfromotherareas.

    • Responsible forescalating issuesrelatedtoprocess improvementsorother issues.

    • Assistssupervisorwithreportingandtesting,includingproductivityreportingandsystemtesting.

    • Quality Assuranceshouldbeconductedonaroutinebasiswithfeedbackanddocumentationgiventothesupervisor.

    • BasedonQAofnewemployees,makesarecommendationtosupervisoras towhennewemployeeisreadytoworkindependently.

    • Providetrainingtoteam membersasnecessary.

    • Assistssupervisorwiththedevelopmentofpolicies andprocedures,includingteamprocedure manual.

    • OnoccasiontheTeamLeaderwillberequiredtoattendmeetingseitherwithoronbehalfofthesupervisor.ItisexpectedtheTeamLeaderwouldrepresentthedepartmentprofessionally,participatein discussionand bewellpreparedregardingthetopic.

    • Intheeventofthesupervisor'sabsence,theTeamLeadermaybeaskedtoprovidesupervisorysupport.

    • Specialassignmentsasrequested.

    • RepresentsthedepartmentandtheUniversityinaprofessionalmanneratalltimes.Thiswillinvolvedetailedandprofessionalverbalandwrittencommunicationwithphysicians,patients,administrationandothermanagementpersonnel,inatimelymanner.

    • InteractswithUTMBadministrationwhenquestionsorissuesarise.

    • Practiceseffectivetimemanagementandalwaysdemonstratesacceptableproductivityandmeetsdepartmentaccountaccuracystandards.

    • Successfullycompletesdepartmentaltrainingcoursesandannualrefresher courses.

    • StrictcompliancewithregardtowrittenpoliciesandproceduresforUTMBaswellasRCMandadherencetoallrequiredstandardsanddeadlines.

    • Authorizesphysicianchargesandapprovesjournalvoucherswithinspecified limits.

    Salary Range:

    Actual salary commensurate with experience.
