    Summary

    The Risk Management Specialist Sr position will support Regulatory Relations and Reputation Risk.

    The Risk Management Specialist - Senior is responsible for facilitating regulatory exams from start to finish and assisting with the remediation of regulatory findings (Matters Requiring Attention). Works cross-functionally with senior management, segment risk, independent risk management and audit to fulfill responsibilities and act in an advisory capacity.

    A primary role for this high-viability position will be to coordinate all exam related activities timely and to work closely with business units to ensure comprehensive responses to regulatory requests. The position will also support the Reputation Risk Program and assist with the independent assessment of reputation risk. Reputation is one of Huntington's seven risk pillars and is defined as the risk to current or projected financial condition and resilience arising from negative public opinion.

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, review of new or modified products and services, assessment of the applicable control environment, assist with the review of the reputation risk taxonomy, monitor metric performance.

    Detailed Description

    • Help support exam management for Regulatory Relations, which includes nearly 60 enterprise-wide exams annually. Work closely with our primary regulators - OCC, FRB, CFPB.

    • Coordinate and facilitate exam meetings and interact with stakeholders on exam requests, including managing request lists and follow up requests.

    • Review content and quality of responses and ensure timely submission. Provide constructive feedback to business partners, as needed.

    • Escalate potential concerns to management, then help coordinate efforts to resolve the issues.

    • Assist with remediation of regulatory findings (Matters Requiring Attention). Work closely with multiple business partners to coordinate timely responses and remediation. Focus on the quality of the content presented to regulators is key.

    • Self-directed at identifying other tasks and processes that enable smooth functioning of exam management and MRA remediation processes.

    • Help produce Board and executive management committee decks and reporting.

    • Make recommendations and oversee quality & content of reputation-related data points within the Company's GRC tool (Archer). Assist with the review of the reputation risk taxonomy.

    • Assess reputation risks of new or modified products and services.

    • Complete ad hoc research or documentation requests in support of Corporate Risk programs, including, but not limited to, industry research, gap assessments, preparing management presentations and participating in projects.

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree; MBA preferred

    • 5+ years of experience in Risk, Audit, Project Management Support, or Compliance role in financial services

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Regulatory exam-management experience or prior risk assessment experience preferred

    • Ability to drive deliverable deadlines from internal partners

    • Strong time-management abilities to complete assignments with a sense of urgency

    • Self-starter with excellent written and verbal (face-to-face and Teams) communication skills

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; PowerPoint and Excel

    • Experience with Archer GRC tool
