  • Minimum qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience

    • 5 years of experience working in risk, audit, governance, and/or compliance

    • Experience in risk modeling or scenario analysis in financial or government services

    Preferred qualifications:

    • 5 years of relevant work experience across risk management discipline, data science, or statistical analytics

    • Experience with risk management including risk analytics, statistical modeling, risk assessments, risk event monitoring, research, scenario analysis, or systemic risk assessments

    • Demonstrate relationship management and problem-solving skills, ability to manage collaboration and influence cross-functionally and with executive-level leadership

    • Demonstrated project management capabilities and verbal/written communication skills

    • Solid analytic capacity and/or developing systematic structure within a complex environment

    Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. On this team, you're a big-picture thinker and strategic team-player with a passion for doing what's right. You work globally and cross-functionally with Google engineers and product managers to identify and fight abuse and fraud cases at Google speed - with urgency.     As a Risk Program Analyst, you will be part of the team responsible for proving compliance with existing and emerging content regulations. You will balance regulatory requirements with the dynamic needs of our users and the values of our company.

    In this role, you will be on the front line of our compliance capability development and maturation. You will be responsible for building frameworks, processes, and systems that will deliver defensible risk and compliance at Google. You'll stay informed about the dynamic regulatory landscape, industry trends, and internal operations and communicate solution based recommendations to executives and manage innovative solutions.

We partner with teams across Google to deliver bold solutions in abuse areas such as malware, spam and account hijacking. A diverse team of Analysts, Policy Specialists, Engineers, and Program Managers, we work to reduce risk and fight abuse across all of Google's products, protecting our users, advertisers, and publishers across the globe in over 40 languages.

    • Design and implement a systemic risk program across Google including the advancement of a scenario analysis framework and methodology.

    • Lead scenario analysis across global products and functions to quantify risk exposures.

    • Lead efforts to set and develop standards for risk identification and classification, measurement and modeling, risk appetite and treatment strategies, key risk indicators, and operationalize emerging processes

    • Collaborate and align risk initiatives with Google-wide cross-functional risk partner teams to influence and scale risk practices (e.g., ERM, Central Compliance, Legal, Engineering, Product Areas, Security and Privacy).

    • Establish a leadership presence with a global mindset and a proven ability to influence and inspire across all levels of the organization.
