    KOMAN Holdings, LLC is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Natives of Kodiak, an Alaska Native Corporation (ANC). KOMAN Holdings, through its subsidiaries, provides, environmental consulting services, construction, remediation, civil contracting, civil engineering, and timber and forest management. This position is fully remote.

    What would I do?

    • Establish and oversee coordination of the Construction Division's annual planning process to ensure the consolidated annual plan is completed timely and accurately.

    • Develop short and long-term financial strategy road map for business sector in coordination with the Corporate Controller and CEO.

    • Oversee subsidiary Accounting team to meet the company's deadlines and objectives.

    • Participate in development of annual Finance department budget and manages expenditures accordingly.

    • Continually assess financial systems, process and procedures, and identifies and executes improvements.

    • Lead or support projects in other functional areas from time-to-time based on business needs and individual skillsets, bandwidth, and interests.

    Who you are:

    • Excel with Numbers : You understand and apply advanced financial concepts and practices to financial entries, analyses, and reporting.

    • Possess Strong Computer Skills : You have advanced competency in Microsoft Excel and ability to be the computerized accounting system's super user, comprising the payroll, A/P, A/R, general ledger, and reporting modules. Able to process and integrate data from different software systems.

    • Know Financial and Tax rules : You have a strong understanding of GAAP and applicable IRS tax code regulations and how to apply it to the company's financial operations.

    • Process-minded: You enjoy and excel at establishing and continually refining processes that optimize business efficiencies, accuracy, and user satisfaction.

    • Run a Top-Notch Administration Shop: You have strong organizational and administrative skills, along with effective techniques for quality control, and a focus on internal client service. Able to lead an efficient and effective small team of employees.

    • Good with Projects: You understand and embrace the fundamentals of scheduling, assigning, tracking, and communicating.

    • Communicate Well: You are comfortable with basic written and oral communications. Be very good at writing financial reports and analyses. Communicating financial concepts succinctly to non-financial operations managers/Vice-Presidents so they can understand how their decisions will impact the financial reports.

    What experience and required qualifications do I need to be considered?

    • Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance is required.

    • CPA highly desired.

    • Prefer candidate have 5-8 years' experience in Construction accounting (e.g., WIP Schedules, Estimated Cost to Complete, etc.), preferably in a multi-entity environment.

    • Experience working in federal contracting is required.

    • Experience working in Vista Viewpoint is preferred.
