Senior Accountant

Description

A well-established NYC Community Organization is currently seeking a Senior Accountant to add to their amazing team!

Responsibilities of this role will include

• Performing account reconciliations

• Supporting general ledger maintenance

• Preparing journal entries and supporting the month end close

• Handling monthly and quarterly reports

• Managing Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable

• Reviewing and improving current processes

• Handling ad hoc projects as needed

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting and at least 2 years of previous experience. Nonprofit background required, preferably with exposure to grant accounting. This position will go to a dedicated worker with excellent organizational and communication skills.
