Senior Accountant

Chris Preble is working on a really unique Senior Accountant role for his manufacturing industry client in the Elmira area. There's also a lot of flexibility to work from home once in a while. Besides being involved in analysis duties, you'll also be involved in financial reporting and lots of ad hoc projects. No, they're not trying to make you 2 jobs at once, work life balance is great here. There's a large scope of duties so this is a great next step position on your resume. You'll learn a lot here and also have great exposure to executive leadership.

Some duties are below but they are clear they're really building the role around the skillset of the individual they hire. They're looking for the right fit vs trying to check a lot of boxes on a job description relative to a resume. As long as you have a foundation in accounting or financial analysis, they are interested.

• Strong interest in continuously improving the automation of the accounting and reporting process

• Prepare financial analysis on trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.

• Provide monthly accounting closure procedures and deliverables, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, financial reporting

• Successfully collaborate with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, controls and provide support on special requests when necessary

• Administer Ad-hoc projects

• Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews

• Provide monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

• Partake in various department-wide initiatives

Requirements

• Excel Formulas experience desired

• BA/BS in Accounting

• Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing

• CPA or MBA (or in progress) is an asset

• Note - wide salary range because they're open to different levels of experience
