Senior Accountant

Our client, an agricultural based organization is seeking a Senior Accountan t to join their team.

Job Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Inver Grove Heights, MN

Hybrid Role: Hybrid 2 days a week on either Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. 8 hour days between the hours of 7 and 5 when in the office.

Pay Range:$45/hr.-$50/hr.

What's the Job?

• Oversee monthly accounting activities, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring financial close completeness.

• Conduct general ledger account reconciliations, financial analyses for trends, and support critical estimates like accruals and reserves.

• Manage monthly product costing, inventory reconciliation, and assist in SEC reporting disclosures.

• Perform and document Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls, collaborate with auditors during audits and reviews.

• Lead process improvement initiatives, enhance reporting capabilities, and maintain a strong safety culture by adhering to safety policies and procedures.

What's Needed?

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Business, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Must have at least 4 years of experience in Finance and/or Accounting.

• Should possess knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Preferred certifications include CPA, CMA, or CFA, and experience with SAP and JDE accounting software.

• Proficiency in the MS Office suite.

• Preferred previous experience in the energy sector, and enterprise transformation experience are also desirable.
