Senior Accountant

We are looking for a Senior Accountant who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience (preferably in public accounting) and be highly skilled in the month-end close process, financial statement analysis, and multi-state sales tax returns. Key Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.

• Conduct thorough financial statement analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

• Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.

• Ensure compliance with multi-state sales tax regulations and manage the timely filing of sales tax returns.

• Strong interest in continuously improving the automation of the accounting and reporting process.

• Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations.

• Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.

• 3+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with public accounting experience.

• Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting requirements.

• Command of Sales Tax Returns.

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.

• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.

• Proven track record of driving process improvements and implementing best practices.

• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
