    Responsibilities

    As a Senior Cloud Network Engineer, you will play a critical role managing the computer networks of the entirety of the organization. Working alongside a team of highly-skilled engineers you will work to plan, implement and oversee the computer networks and infrastructure that enable Citizens business operations. In this position, you will leverage your experience and technical expertise to ensure the stability of Citizens business operations.

    The Senior Cloud Network Engineer will be responsible for:

    • Monitoring and managing networks; identifying potential entry-points or weaknesses; detecting intrusions; managing and ensuring the functionality of prevention technologies.

    • Managing highly complex secure connectivity solutions to ensure the integrity of Citizens sensitive financial data and mission-critical resources.

    • Applying cloud-engineering best practices to design cloud-based solutions; leveraging past experience to gage feasibility.

    • Offering continuous technical guidance and support to stakeholder while implementing new network and cloud based solutions; leading and participating in training sessions with colleagues and stakeholders.

    • Evaluating the adequacy of firewalls, IDS/IPS, various proxy gateway and other network security devices; produce security recommendations when appropriate.

    • Collaborating with other engineering and IT teams to plan, develop, executing and supporting infrastructure and network-related projects; offer thought leadership in regards to network security and management.

    • Offering support to colleagues and stakeholders during scheduled maintenance windows and project timeframes; protecting the workflow of the organization while key systems are temporarily unavailable.

    • Auditing technical network support tickets; documenting patterns and trends as they emerge.

    Required Qualifications

    • 5+ years of working experience in network engineering, systems administration, or related field; experience managing engineering and technical employees

    • Experience with planning, engineering, and implementing network device configurations, including Cisco routers, switches, and ASA firewalls

    • Experience implementing various cloud services including, AWS, Azure, Oracle OCI, Kyndryl zCloud, GCP, Cisco WCCE, VMWare

    Experience with: TCP/IP, BGP, Routing, IPAM, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, SDWAN, AD, Equinix Exchange Fabric

    • Experience with network monitoring solutions such as: Nagios/Cacti, MRTG, Smokeping, etc.

    • Experience managing engineers or other technical personnel; experience managing infrastructure projects; cross-functional collaboration

    • Experience with engineering, planning and developing network solutions

    • Experience with the following: Office 365 configuration and admiration, Veeam backup, DNS, CHCP, Domains, WSUS, policies and permissions administration

    • Experience with anti-virus, anti-spy and other cyber security assets

    Desired Qualifications

    • Knowledge of VMWare ESX and Linux technologies

    • CCNA or JNCIA certification

    • Working experience in the financial services industry; understanding of the roles of consumer and custodial banks

    • Experience with infrastructure architecture; on-prem to cloud migration, cloud applications

    • Experience with Splunk, Illumio, Algosec, Palo Alto / Panorama, F5

    • Experience working in an agile development environment

    • Experience working with cyber security; CISSP, CCFP, CCSP, CEH, CSA, CCSP or related certifications

    • Experience implementing large-scale infrastructure solutions with a proven track record of success

    • Microsoft and Cisco coursework and/or certifications

    • Knowledge of TCP/IP networks

    Education and Certifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline or equivalent industry experience.

    Pay Transparency

    The salary range for this position is $99,200- $148,800 per year plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
