Senior Cost Accountant

Our Client in Huntington, WV is looking for a Senior Accounting Professional that will use critical thinking and communication skills to apply accounting theory and knowledge. This position will apply skills to specific areas such as cost accounting, manufacturing analysis, account reconciliations, and accounting policy compliance.

Pay rate: Salary range of 77k to 115k based on Education and Experience

Schedule: Mon- Fri 8am-5pm

Job Description:

Manage/Operations support, not limited to

• Gross Margin reporting and analysis

• Tracking and Forecasting variable cost

• A nalyzing and reporting P&L Variances

• Other complex analysis as required

• Prepare monthly and quarterly Excess and Obsolete, LIFO, and LCM calculations and analysis

• Prepare and enter month end journal entries

• Reconcile monthly inventory and cost of sales GL accounts

• Light weekend work and travel as required.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• BA/BS Degree in Accounting or Business with emphasis in Accounting

???????* 5-7 years of Accounting experience

• 3-5 years of Manufacturing Cost experience
