    We are looking for:

    • The Business Law Counsel will provide corporate and commercial law support to the North American business operations of Synesco Materials and Consumer & Resources reporting segments. It is expected that this attorney will spend roughly 50% of their time supporting Materials and 50% of their time supporting Consumer & Resources. The Business Law Counsel will have direct client contact and is expected to independently advise experienced business professionals in the execution of a variety of commercial transactions in a manner to achieve business goals while protecting the company's interests.

    We count on you for:

    • Support the business activities of the clients, including negotiating and drafting of sales, purchasing, distribution and tolling agreements, and providing contract analysis with respect to existing contractual commitments

    • Analyze and advise on a broad range of legal and business liability and risk exposures with respect to clients' business strategies, commercial arrangements, manufacturing operations and marketing plans, including the areas of commercial, antitrust, export control and intellectual property law and compliance matters. With respect to specialized areas of law, collaborate with internal experts in the Legal & Compliance and Intellectual Asset Management functions to address them

    • Provide advice and counsel with respect to supplier and customer claims, commercial disputes and potential business settlements of the same in collaboration with in-house litigation counsel

    • Where authorized, engage and manage outside counsel, including task definition, staffing expectations and fee arrangements

    • Conduct training of client personnel in North America as requested (antitrust, anti-bribery, contact with competitors, code of conduct, ethics, etc.)

    • Support initiatives undertaken by the Materials and Consumer and Resources legal teams

    You will bring:

    • JD degree from an accredited U.S. law school

    • Admission to at least one U.S. State Bar with eligibility to practice law as in-house counsel in the State of Georgia.

    • Minimum 5 years' experience in corporate/business law at a law firm and/or as in-house counsel

    • Strong business acumen analytical and problem-solving ability

    • Strong contract drafting skills, including the ability to draft original language and to develop and modify templates to meet commercial objectives

    • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English

    • Willingness and ability to advocate for and protect the company's reputation and legal interests

    • Ability to interact effectively with all levels within a client's business organization

    • Ability to provide legal support as a part of a team with substantive experts

    • Desire to work in a multinational, multicultural professional environment.

    • The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $120,000 to $150,000 per year.

    • Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range.

    • Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
