    Become a Senior Editor of Content Strategy at Southern California Edison and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you will report to the Senior Manager of Content Strategy and Channel Management in Corporate Communications & Philanthropy and help create content through creative storytelling - internally and externally - across various channels. With an editor's eye and a reporter's news instinct, you will help craft compelling content around brand reputation, ensuring alignment and consistency in our company narrative. In addition, you will leverage data analytics to optimize content for internal and external audiences. You will also serve as a PIO during Incident Management Team activations and after hours on call duty.

    A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!

    • Develop compelling and creative content for various digital channels for both internal and external audiences.

    • Write and line edit narrative copy using AP style for various channels, establishing one voice and tone for various branded websites and channels.

    • Dissect complex, industry-specific content in a concise, clear and simplified narrative and copy.

    • Support content development for various channels and provide story ideas and pitches at weekly content strategy meetings.

    • Create content aligned to our company strategy, priorities and narrative using a multi-channel approach to storytelling that engages internal and external audiences.

    • Post content using various Content Management Systems across internal and external channels.

    • Support a cohesive editorial calendar that drives awareness and engagement of our strategy and priorities, leveraging various channels (including our intranet site, ~~~, Energized etc.).

    • Provide line-editing and copy-editing support for channels across both internal and external platforms.

    • Other projects as assigned by the Senior Leadership.

    The essentials

    • Ten or more years of combined experience in communications, journalism, social media and/or marketing.

    • Five or more years of line and copyediting experience with an eye for detail and knowledge of AP style.

    • Five or more years of experience working with Content Management Systems, including WordPress, Drupal, AEM, SharePoint and other similar CMS.

    The preferred

    • Bachelor of Arts degree or higher in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or related field.

    • Ten years of experience writing narrative-style copy on tight deadlines often on complicated topics.

    • Experience in leading strategic projects with a natural flare for keeping track of the tactical execution and details.

    • Five years of project management, writing and reporting experience.

    • Digital and social media monitoring and engagement experience.

    • A track record of identifying and implementing process improvements within a complex, fast-paced environment.

    • Experience communicating at all levels of the company.

    • Strategic problem solver and self-starter.

    You should know

    • This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.

    • The primary work location for this position is Rosemead, CA with occasional travel within the service area.
