    Disney Entertainment is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for the National Geographic Partner's Finance & Planning Team. This role will be responsible for financial analysis and reporting for the Channels P&L, as well as producing high-quality strategic analysis to support decision-making across the division. This includes, but is not limited to ongoing cost analysis, gathering/analyzing data for budgets/forecasts/long range plans, owning specific cross-team analysis and reporting processes (related to headcount, T&E, etc.) and working on ad hoc projects to drive business performance.

    The Senior Financial Analyst provides a supporting role to area leadership on all aspects of financial reporting and planning as well as operational support to business partners. The position offers the opportunity to work in a variety of finance related disciplines with the aim of providing business partners with the information that they require to run efficiently.

    Role description and responsibilities

    • Aid the consolidation of the P&L, including reporting and presentations for the quarterly forecasts, annual plan, and long-range planning processes.

    • Coordinate with controllership, corporate finance teams, and business partners to support forecast submissions and quarterly close process.

    • Be the finance liaison to the business partners and assist with budgeting, invoicing, and miscellaneous requests.

    • Provide ad hoc finance support to the finance leadership across the Nat Geo domestic channels teams.

    • Proactively improve existing financial planning models and processes.

    Experience and Professional Qualifications Required

    • 2-5 years of experience

    • Experience in financial planning and analysis and experience of working in a similar role.

    • Experience working with financial IT systems, SAP/BW and Cognos preferred.

    • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office (specifically Excel modeling w/ VBA).

    • Strong communication, organization, and presentation skills. Collaborative workstyle / team player.

    Required Education

    • Bachelor's required - Degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent); a quantitative discipline is preferred.
