    Job Description

    The ONSR Operation organization is constantly evolving, developing new processes, tools and services to deliver a high-quality customer experience. In Operations, our life blood is data, and more specifically analytics. Understanding not only current service health state, but gathering, collating, and analyzing data from customer trends to cloud capacity are critical to providing a holistic understanding of our cloud service delivery. Our roadmaps, programs, and resource allocations are driven largely by our metrics.

    We are looking for a Senior Software Development Manager to help expand the organization, drive delivery of a comprehensive metrics and analytics roadmap, and provide strong leadership for the integration, operation, and enhancement of these capabilities across OCI's various dedicated cloud products.

    Responsibilities

    You must be a self-organized, disciplined software development leader with experience in building highly scalable, distributed, data warehousing and analytic platforms. In this role you will be responsible for building a team, coordinating the design, approvals, and delivery of a scalable analytics platform. You must drive a team culture that focuses on the fundamental principles of SDLC, with an emphasis on testing, quality assurance, and toil-free operations. Strong collaboration & communications skills are a must as you will work across organizational boundaries and frequently interface with OCI senior leadership. You are responsible for your outcomes, so anticipate building and driving an Agile development culture that not only tracks progress, but fosters innovation, team ownership and iterative delivery.

    Minimum Requirements

    • U.S. Citizen with active TS/SCI and be willing to obtain Polygraph Government Security clearance

    • 3-5 years of experience growing and leading successful software development teams

    • 5+ years of experience leading?and successfully delivering large and complex technical projects from concept to production

    • Demonstrable experience delivering meaningful operational and service metrics and dashboards in a cloud or large IT environment

    • Sound understanding and demonstrable experience building and operating data warehouses and analytic front-ends

    • Demonstrable understanding of the software development life cycle

    • Experience hiring and active participation in annual performance management

    • Able to effectively communicate technical ideas verbally and in writing (technical proposals, design specs, architecture diagrams and presentations)

    • Demonstrable project management experience in delivering large cross functional projects

    • Bachelor's degree?in Computer Science or related engineering field

    Preferred Experiences/Skills

    • Masters in Computer Science or related engineering fields

    • Experience developing and delivering software solutions in US government agencies

    • Experience leading teams developing services on a public cloud platform (e.g., AWS, Azure, Oracle)

    • Work with multiple APIs to pull data, process and store in different storage systems to be absorbed by multiple stakeholders

    • Working knowledge of databases, visualization tools, and data science (as a discipline)

    • Experience developing applications in Java

    US: Hiring Range: from $112,300 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

    Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.

    Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

    8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
