Shift Lead Operator

Job Type: Full time - some OT available

Salary: $17hr - $22/hr + shift differential

Shift: 6pm - 6am

Pre-employment background check and drug screen required.

Shift Lead Operator Job Duties:

• Act as key decision maker and direct the flow of work on your designated shift
• Facilitate communicate between your shift and the one that follows so everyone understands the needs and goals for the next working shift
• Ensure all work is logged appropriately and take detailed notes of what happened during your shift for accurate recordkeeping
• Answer questions that arise from the employees on your shift
• Train and effectively coach employees as needed on various equipment and processes
• Primary accountability for ensuring a safe work environment for employees working on your shift
• Maintain regular communication with your Plant Manager on any operations, process or employee-related issues encountered on your shift
• Other duties as assigned

Shift Lead Job Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Manufacturing and production line experience required.
• Prior experience operating manufacturing systems, equipment, monitoring systems, PLC programming or manufacturing software.
• Prior lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Will need to possess good eye, hand and foot coordination.
• Will need to have computer aptitude at an intermediate level.
• Will need to be able to concentrate for extended periods of time and multi-task.
• Will need to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for a minimum of 7 hours per day.
• Required to read and interpret scales.
• Requires mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Requires the ability to do simple math calculations.
