Shipping Clerk

Description

-Ensure all shipments receive the proper labeling and charges and are packaged to arrive safely.

-Keep leadership aware of product shortages in order to maintain accurate information on the company website.

-Organize stock and merchandise within the ERP system by properly transacting and storing goods in their designated location.

-Point of contact for all delivery and pick up drivers as well as a point of contact for our carrier representatives for claims and delivery information.

-Verify all incoming shipments to be accurate by comparing the packing slips to order and ensuring all goods are in acceptable condition.

-Work with leadership and purchasing team to see that all receipts are handled promptly, and goods are shipped and stored properly.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

MUST HAVE

-1+ year of relevant customer service experience (i.e. Shipping Clerk that has dealt with vendors to replace lost or damaged goods)

-Experience working in a fast paced environment

-Strong attention to detail

-Ability to maintain a high level of physicality for prolonged periods of time

-Experience with MS Excel (basic functions - enter column, enter row, delete column or row, etc.)

-Strong interpersonal skills since they will be communicating with internal warehouse and leadership around stock and items in warehouse for shipment

-Ability to problem solve and prioritize daily tasks

-Personal accountability and integrity are super important - Shipping Clerk is tasked with knowing the accurate amount of inventory in stock

NICE TO HAVE

-Experience working in an ERP system is a bonus (they utilize Epicor)

-Experience using a forklift or has a professional forklift certification is preferred
