Pay Rate: $28-32 /hr

Location: Westlake, LA

Shifts: Monday - Friday, 7:30a-4:30p

What's a typical day as a Shop Foreman? You'll be:

• Leading a team of 5-10 people on welding projects

• Inspecting tank cars and evaluating for repair

• Enforcing safety regulations and protocols to ensure a safe working environment

• Conducting performance reviews with staff to provide feedback and support their development

• Meeting with management to deliver feedback and develop strategies to optimize work processes

• Ensuring that all equipment and machinery are properly operated and maintained

• Monitoring inventory levels and replenishing supplies as needed

• Performing administrative tasks such as updating equipment orders, stock receipts, and staff schedules

This job might be an outstanding fit if you

• Have proven work experience as a Shop Foreman or similar role

• 3+ years experience in welding

• Have a strong understanding of work optimization techniques, tank and railroad cars

• Possess strong knowledge of applicable safety regulations and procedures

• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
