    The Site Superintendent is the appointed installation and construction subject matter expert (SME) responsible for ensuring execution of the specific technical task order(s) are being followed through, ensuring the technical solutions and schedules in the task order are implemented in a timely manner. The Superintendent executes technical knowledge to coordinate solutions or solve complex problems typically during construction and system testing. Must be capable of reading, writing, and conversing fluently in the English language on the job site at all times during the performance of contract work. The work requires an understanding of electrical, civil, mechanical and construction best practices. This position will provide leadership and technical guidance to all subcontractors and trades assigned to the Project site

    Responsibilities

    What You'll Get To Do:

    • The project superintendent is primarily responsible for managing and coordinating day-to-day production and schedule adherence on the project.

    • The superintendent is required to attend partnering meetings and quality control meetings.

    • The superintendent must be on-site at all times during the performance of the contract until the work is completed and accepted.

    • Acts as the company contact in the field with a demonstrated ability to troubleshoot/solve issues and coordinate with other trades/clients with minimal supervision.

    • Ability to read, interpret electrical and electromechanical schematics and architectural drawings.

    • Understanding the infrastructure relationships between trades.

    • Adhering to all Company and Client policies and procedures.

    • Responsible for all red-line documents and final acceptance by the client.

    • Supervises subcontractors for Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, and Equipment installation and testing.

    • Supervises subcontractors performing demolition of existing AVB-related Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, and Equipment.

    Qualifications

    You'll Bring These Qualifications:

    • Minimum of seven (5) years' experience (within the last ten years) in construction with all of those years as a superintendent.

    • Demonstrated Training in engineering and construction management.

    • Academic training in construction Health and Safety.

    • Training in construction quality control.

    • Certification for the "Construction Quality Management for Contractors" course is desired.

    • Have a working knowledge and understanding of Active Vehicle Barrier Systems, Electric and Hydraulic.

    • OSHA 30 Training preferred.

    • Familiar with requirements of USACE EM 385-1-1 and have experience in the areas of hazard identification and safety compliance.

    • Must be capable of interpreting a critical path schedule and construction drawings.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products

    • Must be proficient with Test Equipment (i.e. VOM/Milti-Meter, TDR, OTDR and advance wave form equipment)

    • Must have skill level III Hand Tools

    • Network environment savvy

    • CADD knowledge

    • Must participate in all company described training programs as required

    • Must understand complex scheduling, deliverables, milestones, and project cost control

    • Safety/First Aid Training

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

    • The employee will normally work in both a temperature-controlled office environment and outside with frequent exposure to the elements and construction environment and exposure to electronic office equipment.

    • During operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
