Software Developer

Description

We are offering a contract-to-hire employment opportunity for a Software Developer in New York. The individual in this role will utilize agile development methodologies to develop, test, and analyze system solutions in response to business requirements. This role involves active participation in a team-oriented environment, working closely with other developers and team members to understand requirements and identify the impacts of the application.

Responsibilities

• Develop code, analyze, research, and resolve system issues

• Handle small-to-medium user stories encompassing feature development and service requests

• Articulate obstacles and participate in design and code reviews

• Maintain a level of urgency towards timelines and results

• Participate in on-call rotation and support all documented IT processes and standards

• Communicate effectively and work with team members to understand the requirements

• Create individual work plans, specifications, and programs utilizing development procedures and standards

• Consistently demonstrate high standards of integrity by supporting the mission and values

• Adhere to corporate privacy policies and procedures

• Regular and reliable attendance is expected and required

• Perform other functions as assigned by management

Requirements - Proficiency in Java programming language is a must.

• Familiarity with Agile Software Development methodologies.

• Experience in full stack software development is essential.

• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.

• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and its concepts.

• Familiarity with continuous integration and version control systems.

• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment is crucial.

• Strong problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• Must be able to handle multiple tasks and adapt to a constantly changing environment.

• Ability to learn quickly and stay current with new technologies.

• Experience with software debugging and testing.

• Strong understanding of software development life cycle.

• Experience with database design and data modeling is preferred.
