    The Digital Manufacturing Systems Feature Development Team is a cross-functional team having the primary responsibility to develop the strategy, plan for, and implement the launch of the In Station Process Control and Test (ISPCT) strategy. The Software Engineer - Vehicle Diagnostic Test Engine candidate will be a part of this team and be responsible for the following:

    • Design and implement a robust vehicle diagnostic test engine for manufacturing.

    • Assist in the development and integration of the distributed test system in a Container as a Service (CaaS) environment.

    • Collaborate on embedded system level work for the development of the distributed test system, with a focus on upcoming Electric Vehicle (EV) programs.

    • Contribute to the design and implementation of embedded software solutions to support the testing and diagnostic functions within the distributed test system.

    • Work closely with hardware engineers to ensure seamless integration of software and firmware components for the EV programs.

    • Participate in testing and validation activities at the embedded system level to ensure reliability and performance in the EV testing environment.

    • Integrate current end of line tooling applications with the Manufacturing Control Systems (MCS) to support the ISPCT strategy for enhanced manufacturing process control and testing capabilities.

    • Write test scripts according to the latest GGDS and DoIP specifications to ensure accurate and comprehensive testing of vehicle components.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

    • Proven experience in software development and system design, preferably in the automotive industry.

    • Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Java, or Python.

    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

    • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Familiarity with vehicle diagnostic tools and protocols is a plus.

    • Vehicle Diagnostic or Functional Testing

    • Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulation
