    JOB SUMMARY

    Responsible for the planning, preparation and quality of individual meals, special events and functions that conform to a fine dining atmosphere. Oversees operation of Dining Services and its employees in the absence of the Director of Dining Services.

    PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

    1. Prepares food in accordance with established recipes, demonstrates creativity in the preparation and presentation of meals in a timely manner

    2. Oversees Dining Services operation and its employees in all aspects of service in the absence of the Director. This includes strict adherence to sanitation protocols.

    3. Responsible for line cooking during service in a timely and efficient manner.

    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    1. 3-5 years experience in restaurant fine dining atmosphere and/or culinary school certificate from an accredited college

    2. Ability and experience in overseeing food service operations that includes strong customer service ability

    3. Current Food Safe Certification and/or ability to be certified.

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    1. Work requires caution in the handling of hot liquids and equipment and strict adherence to established safety guidelines in all aspects of kitchen operations.

    2. Requires the ability to work day, evenings, weekends and holidays.

    1. Reports to the Director of Dining Services
