    SQL DBA Support Engineer

    18 month contract

    100% Onsite - Fargo, ND, Charlotte, NC, Irving, TX or Redmond, WA

    $30-$35/hour

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Answer user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operation to resolve problems, typically of a lower complexity.

    • Install software or perform hardware testing remotely as needed.

    • Enter commands and observe system functioning to verify correct operations and detect errors.

    • Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, problems, and remedial actions taken, or installation activities.

    • Read technical manuals, confer with users, or conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or provide technical assistance and support.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 3 years of Microsoft SQL Server Database Administration experience in SQL Server 2008R2/2008/2012/2014/2016.

    • Experience with MS Azure

    • Proficiency in SQL Management Studio, Enterprise Manager, Query Analyzer, and other SQL Server tools.

    • Experience in database maintenance, backup, restore, recovery, and performance tuning.

    • Familiarity with High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions such as Replication, Mirroring, and Clustering.

    • Strong customer management and teaming skills, with the ability to communicate efficiently both written and verbally with a wide variety of customers.

    • Logical and critical thinking skills, along with deep technical troubleshooting abilities.

    • Passion for technology and learning, with a desire to continuously expand skills and knowledge.
